Course Description:

Course will focus on the elucidation and derivation of collective behavior of macroscopic systems, made up of many individual components, from the microscopic dynamics of the components. We will consider both systems made up of atoms and those made up of larger entities, such as living organisms. We will use both deterministic and stochastic microscopic dynamics.
